The ArRaudhah Foundation

Yayasan Ar-Raudhah (Com.Reg: 529629-x), formerly Tabung Kemanusiaan Nusantara, is a foundation registered on 23rd October 2000 under the R.O.C. Act 1965. ArRaudhah started as a Fund by contributing to extremely disadvantaged and impoverished peoples in this region.
In 2004, we conducted an international humanitarian effort was to provide Aid to the Acheh Tsunami victims. This has evolved into the establishment of 2 homes for 60 orphans in Lohksamawae where full accomodation, schooling and care is provided. Consequent to our experience in Acheh, we saw a profound need to transform ourselves into a foundation when we expanded our activities in Acheh to implement programs beyond contributions.
A significant difference from most other organizations involved in social work, Ar-Raudhah started as a self sustaining community of care dedicated to restoration and improvement of social, educational and economic conditions have suffered severe deterioration resulting in high and sustainable threat to livehood and well-being. ArRaudhah sustains its philanthropic efforts through its own investments in a variety of economic ventures.
Engaging in the cause has fortified Ar-Raudhah's competencies in the entire care operation. And in due course, other communities has recognised and leveraged Ar-Raudhah's strength in their own efforts of care.
Today, as Ar-Raudhah continues to grow on its own path of self sustainability in providing care, we haply extend the rewarding experience of helping others to other communities of care. This is to allow other communities which may not have the resources to conduct the aid as ArRauhdah to achieve the common goal of contributing and participating in humane restoration and reconstructive processes.
Consequently, our calling has placed upon our shoulders the greater responsibility of managing and "building communities of care".
ArRaudhah, aptly put, focuses its efforts on "Building Communities of Care".
"Building" : Ar-Raudhah extends the use of its resources to other communities to achieve common goal of contributing and participating in humane restoration and reconstructive processes. ArRaudhah focuses on fortifying the resources and processes that make up the infrastructure of the care operation.
"Communities" : Ar-Raudhah comprise communities of "volunteers", "donors", "program management", "society leaders", "specialised care-givers", "sponsor" and most of all, "cared-for" community.
"Care" : Ar-Raudhah approach is to "Help, Develop, Strengthen" on the provision of Social, Educational and Economic care.
In growing, Ar-Raudhah has helped facilitate aid from other communities which do not have the necessary resources to conduct the entire care operation.
Ar-Raudhah also works with other ad-hoc or special interest groups such as student groups or medical teams as part of our "volunteer" or "specialised care-giver" communities.
To preserve our repute and standing, Ar-Raudhah will not compromise on its policy of "Direct Donations" - Donations are given to its recipients IN FULL.
Our "Donor Communities" must appoint their trustee for any specific donation to participate, oversee and witness total and full disbursements of the entire donation. Without this appointment, we will not accept any donations from any donor.
